Devotional Video on Prayer - God Helps us Pray

Drew has recently done several short devotional videos. Check out AnimatedFaith's YouTube channel at YouTube.com/AnimatedFaith for several short inspiriting videos.  One of the top viewed video's is "God Helps Us PrayGod knows we are low, weak and sometimes do not know how or what to pray, the words to use or even the enthusiasm to pray. So God helps us pray. God never condemns us or makes us feel bad, just because we don't have the words or energy to pray.  God is for us and wants to help us pray.

Praying With God

We are praying and asking the prayer of God. If you are one with the Lord, you are obeying the Lord, you are abiding in the Lord, and His Word is dwelling in you, then you are one with the Lord, and what the Lord wants to pray, you want to pray, what the Lord wants to ask the Father through your prayer, you want to ask the Father.  So who is really praying here?  Is it us praying or is it God praying?  It is kind of hard to understand.

Praying With God

Praying With God

Praying and asking the prayer of God. If you love the Lord, obey the Lord, abide in the Lord, and let His Word dwell in you, then you are one with the Lord, and what the Lord wants to pray, you pray, what the Lord wants to ask the Father through your prayer, you ask the Father.  So who is really praying here?  Is it us in pray or is it God praying in you?  It is kind of hard to understand.
Elijah also had a similar experience of not praying his own prayer, but praying what God wanted to pray. You could say he prayed a pray that God put on his heart, or prayed a pray that God burdened him with.

The Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6

In Matthew it says, “Pray, then, in this way.  Our Father who is in heaven, may Your name be sanctified.  May Your Kingdom come.  May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.  And supply us today what we need and forgive us our wrongs as we forgive the wrongs of others.  Do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”  This is a prayer, or I would say a model prayer, given by the Lord Jesus.  We want to cover this prayer and we want to cover some principles regarding prayer in the Bible.
The context for this prayer ...   You can read the rest of the message on the Lord's Prayer at AnimatedFaith.com
